Your voice is the one part of you people meet before they see you: on the phone, across a room, in the dark. If you've trained for months and still hear it drop back down when you're tired, laughing or caught off guard, you know how much it matters, and how much it would mean to have a voice that simply stays where it belongs. Voice feminization surgery raises the floor your voice rests on, so the higher voice holds without the effort.
Thailand has some of the most experienced gender-affirming hospitals in the world, and Bangkok is home to voice surgeons who do this work for trans women. These are the best voice feminization surgery clinics in Thailand in 2026: who operates, which techniques each offers, from Wendler glottoplasty to cricothyroid approximation, how long you'll stay, and why voice training before and after surgery is what turns a higher pitch into your voice.
How I rank voice feminization surgery clinics in Thailand
I've spent over ten years coordinating international patients through Bangkok hospitals: visiting them, sitting in on consultations and seeing people through recovery. For voice surgery this list ranks first on outside accreditation and the hospital around you, then on the surgeons and their experience with voice feminization, the techniques and technology on offer (stroboscopy, endoscopic and laser surgery), and how international patients are looked after, including speech therapy before and after.
Every fact comes from each provider's own information, checked 12 October 2026, with sources on its profile. No provider pays to be listed or to move up.

How to plan voice feminization surgery in Thailand
-
1
Train your voice first
Surgery raises your pitch; resonance, vocal weight and the way you speak come from training. Most surgeons want to see you've worked with a voice therapist first, and the voice you bring into surgery shapes the voice you come out with. Start voice training well before you book.
-
2
Send a recent voice assessment with your enquiry
Write to two or three hospitals with the same details: a recording of your speaking voice, any report from a speech-language pathologist or laryngologist, your hormone history, and whether you've had any surgery on your neck or throat. Ask which technique they'd suggest for your voice and why.
-
3
Plan your time in Bangkok
Kamol asks you to plan on about 10 to 14 days in Bangkok, and that's a sensible length to plan around: a hospital stay of a night or two, a week of complete voice rest, then a check of your vocal folds and stitches before you fly. Talking on a plane is hard, so carry a notepad or a phone app for the journey home.
-
4
Get the plan in writing
Before you pay or fly, get your surgeon's name, the technique, whether a tracheal shave is included, your hospital nights and your follow-up schedule confirmed in writing.
-
5
Line up speech therapy at home
Your voice keeps changing for months; the final result usually settles somewhere between three and eight months. Book a voice therapist at home for training after surgery before you leave, and ask the hospital whether it offers online follow-up sessions.
This page is information, not medical advice: the laryngologist who examines your voice is the one to decide which operation, if any, suits you.
Voice feminization surgery in Thailand: common questions
Which voice feminization surgery clinics in Thailand are JCI accredited?
Kamol Hospital, Yanhee International Hospital, Bumrungrad International Hospital and Vejthani International Hospital on this list are JCI accredited, and in each case the accreditation covers the whole hospital.
Which voice feminization techniques are available in Thailand?
All the main ones. Kamol offers cricothyroid approximation and open laryngoplasty; Phyathai 2 offers cricothyroid approximation, endoscopic glottoplasty and laser reduction glottoplasty; Vejthani offers Wendler glottoplasty, laser reduction glottoplasty, cricothyroid approximation and feminization laryngoplasty.
How long do I need to stay in Thailand for voice feminization surgery?
Plan on about 10 to 14 days. Hospital stays are short, from about 24 hours at Phyathai 2 to two nights at Yanhee, but you'll need a week of complete voice rest and a check of your vocal folds before you fly.
Do I still need voice training after surgery?
Yes. Surgery raises the pitch your voice rests at, but resonance, vocal weight and intonation come from training. Kamol builds speech therapy into recovery, and Bumrungrad and Vejthani offer voice therapy with a speech-language pathologist.
Can I have a tracheal shave at the same time?
Often, yes. At Kamol the Adam's apple can be reduced through the same incision as the voice surgery. Phyathai 2 advises against having the Adam's apple reduced before voice surgery, because it makes the later operation harder, so plan the two together.
How are these clinics ranked?
On outside accreditation and the hospital around you, the surgeons and their experience with voice feminization, the techniques on offer and how international patients are looked after, from over ten years of coordinating patients through Bangkok hospitals. Every fact is checked against each provider's own information. No provider pays to be listed or to move up.
